(eap) The Fort Fun Abenteuerland theme park in Bestwig, Germany, operated by the Looping Group, is increasingly focusing on exclusive experiences beyond its regular operations. In addition to its classic attractions, the park offers a variety of special experiences tailored to individual guests and groups.
“Our experience portfolio includes many unique offerings that have not yet received the attention they deserve,” says Marketing Director Christine Schütte. “Who even knows that you can get officially married here, or that adults can try their hand at driving a real steam locomotive? We want to bring these hidden highlights more into the spotlight going forward.” Managing Director Andreas Sievering also emphasizes the strategic importance of these event formats: “The emotional connection guests form through individual experiences is extremely valuable. These offers […] are part of a long-term strategy to develop our product portfolio in a targeted way throughout the year.”
Among these bookable experiences is the “Train Driver Experience,” which allows adults aged 18 and over to stand at the controls of the Western-style “Santa Fé Express” train. “Fort Fun thrives on authenticity: our guests value the opportunity to experience genuine technical craftsmanship,” Sievering adds. Another format is the “Dinner in the Ferris Wheel,” available for group events such as birthdays or company celebrations. “Especially for corporate events or birthdays, the Dinner in the Ferris Wheel is a true nature experience – it combines our scenic surroundings with event gastronomy in a very unique way,” explains Christine Schütte. The park also offers the possibility to celebrate civil weddings in an authentic Western-style setting.
New to the program is the “Early SLIDER” upsell option, which grants exclusive access to the “Trapper SLIDER” alpine coaster before the park officially opens. The goal is to avoid long waiting times and optimize guest flow throughout the day. Companies and groups can also book fully customized event concepts – including exclusive ride access, tailored catering services, and programming even outside normal opening hours. ■
