New Indoor Karting Track at Alma Park Gelsenkirchen
(eap) A new karting track is currently being built at Alma Park, the indoor leisure facility in Gelsenkirchen covering more than 15,000 square metres. The new track will have a length of around 340 metres across two levels. E-karts of the „SiNUS iON“ model from RiMO Germany will be used on the racetrack.

The track layout is being specifically designed for varied races and challenging driving manoeuvres. A specialised barrier system from 360 Karting will be installed to ensure a high level of safety, while timing systems and live results on large displays are set to create a competitive atmosphere. Race information is also set to be shown directly on displays in the karts, to ensure safe communication during the ride.
In addition to classic time trials, visitors will have access to various race formats, including structured races with qualifying and a subsequent starting grid, as well as exclusive track bookings for groups. The new karting will therefore cater to both, leisure guests, but also corporate events, team events, birthday and stag parties.

“With the new karting track, we are making a targeted investment in exceptional leisure experiences with high quality and state-of-the-art technology. Our aim was not simply to build another karting track, but to create an attraction with a genuine experiential character. The combination of the multi-level track, the special lighting atmosphere and the new RiMO SiNUS iON electric karts makes the driving experience unique. We are very much looking forward to finally being able to present the new facility,” explains Andreas Althoff, Managing Director of Alma Park GmbH.
The official opening ceremony for the new karting track is scheduled for 12 June. From 14 July, the facility is then expected to be open to all guests. In addition to the new karting experience, the leisure facility in the Ruhr region offers further weather-independent activities such as laser tag, escape room games, trampolining and paintball. ■
