(eap) Tomorrow will see the official opening of an all-new glamping holiday park operated by Landal in the heart of the Ardennes. Named Resort Val de Bois Durbuy, it will become the operator’s tenth holiday park in Belgium. Open throughout the year, the resort primarily targets families, couples and groups of friends wishing to combine nature-based experiences with a high level of comfort during a short break stay.

Designed for four or six guests, the glamping tents feature air conditioning, a private bathroom and a spacious terrace overlooking the resort’s fishing lake and the surrounding forest. Some units are also equipped with a hot tub, a barrel sauna, an outdoor kitchen or a veranda. Following the summer season, the accommodation portfolio is set to be expanded by 60 camping pitches and nine apartments.

The resort’s facilities include a restaurant, a small supermarket, indoor and outdoor play areas, a multi-purpose sports court, a boules area, a “Nature Experience Area” and a Kids Club. An animation and entertainment programme will also be offered during the school holidays. The wooded surroundings of the medieval town of Durbuy and the river Ourthe provide numerous opportunities for outdoor activities. Guests can go hiking, mountain biking or kayaking, climb, enjoy ziplining experiences or take part in rafting tours.

The holiday park project in Durbuy was initiated by entrepreneur Jeroen Knols, who previously developed the luxury glamping resort Landal Namur Nature near Namur, which opened in September 2025. As with that property, Landal will also be responsible for marketing and rental management at the new location. Landal Nature Namur is currently being expanded as well, with plans including 70 additional glamping tents and new amenities such as a miniature golf course, a pump track and an “Adventure Forest”.

With six locations now operating in the Ardennes, Landal aims to further expand its portfolio of high-quality nature and glamping holidays in the region. According to the company, the new resort’s year-round operation is also intended to help distribute tourist demand more evenly throughout the year and support local businesses such as restaurants, cafés and retailers. Landal currently operates more than 200 holiday parks across eight countries. ■
