New Leisure Offerings Planned at Solimare in Moers
(eap) The open spaces surrounding the Solimare outdoor pool in Moers on Germany’s Lower Rhine are to be equipped with additional leisure offerings. As early as this summer, a climbing park, a barbecue area and a dog off-leash area are to be gradually put into operation, explained Sandra Jungmaier, board member of the Enni group of companies, which operates the indoor and outdoor pool in Moers.
On a total area of around 23,000 square meters, a cross-generational leisure and activity offering is to be created. The central element will be a modern high ropes course with several levels, different courses and zip lines. The offer is also to be complemented by play structures for children as well as further attractions such as a ninja course and an adventure trail for younger visitors.
The climbing park is being realized by the German provider KristallTurm. The elements of the climbing park are already in production and the tendering procedure for the construction work on site is about to begin. According to Jungmaier, the operation of the outdoor pool is not expected to be affected by the works. The open space planning is considered an important building block in further developing Solimare and strengthening Moers as an attractive leisure destination. ■
