(eap) The search for a new managing director has been completed: On October 1, 2025, Jens Walter (34) will take over as managing director of the swimming pool operations of Stadtwerke Bad Herrenalb GmbH (Baden-Württemberg) and will thus be responsible for the fortunes of the Siebentäler Therme and the Waldfreibad Bad Herrenalb outdoor pool facility from the beginning of the month. With a fresh perspective and a clear vision, Walter will strategically guide the future development of the thermal baths and launch a comprehensive marketing concept. “I am highly motivated to take on the upcoming tasks and opportunities to further develop the Herrenalb swimming facilities together with a strong team and committed partners and lead them successfully into the future,” says Walter, who most recently served as head of the swimming pool department at Stadtwerke Tübingen GmbH.

The Siebentäler Therme is currently closed to guests due to extensive renovation work – it is expected to reopen in the summer of 2026. Visitors can look forward to new themed worlds and wellness offerings as well as a fresh and modern ambience. The spa’s revitalization project is being funded as part of the Tourism Infrastructure Program (TIP) of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Jens Walter is looking forward to the challenge of successfully completing the ongoing thermal spa renovation and subsequently reopening the facility. ■
