(eap) This summer, visitors to Germany’s Fort Fun Abenteuerland can look forward to two new shows. From July 5 to August 24, Circus Mechanica is bringing a breath of fresh air to the show program with “Wild Wheels” and “Flying Knives”. The former is an outdoor show that will be performed below the “Thunderbirds” attraction. Stunt riders, a parkour professional and a bike artist show off their skills on self-built constructions. “Wild Wheels brings modern movement art to an unusual setting,” explains Andreas Sievering, Managing Director of the park. “The show thrives on craftsmanship, excitement and a good dose of courage – combined with an exclusive show design.”

The second live show, Flying Knives, takes place in the “Silver Bullet Saloon”, where the focus is on knife throwing as a discipline. “Flying Knives is not a classic circus act,” says Sievering. “It’s a show that brings the audience right up close – as if you were taking a brief look behind the scenes of everyday circus life. The focus here is on precision, control and the interaction between the artists.”

With the launch of Circus Mechanica, the offer around the “Santa Fé Express” is also changing. The former show ride will be discontinued – instead, the locomotive will run from July 5 to August 24 as a 10-minute panoramic ride. “The route stays the same, the style changes – the focus is now on the view, peace and quiet and a little time out in the countryside,” says Christine Schütte, Head of Marketing at Fort Fun.

In addition to the two new shows, events such as the “FamilyFUN Party” and the “Mexican Summer” will also be presented again this summer. ■
