New Summer Show at Hamburg Dungeon
(eap) To mark the 25th anniversary of the Hamburg Dungeon and the tenth anniversary of the Speicherstadt’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Hamburg-based attraction is staging a new seasonal show. Entitled “Geschichten aus der Speicherstadt” (Eng.: “Stories from the Speicherstadt”), the production runs through 17 August 2025. With this summer special, the Hamburg Dungeon turns the spotlight on its own historic setting – the canal-side warehouse district that has long been associated with both international trade and tales of smuggling.

The immersive show transports guests back to the year 1907, into a seemingly ordinary storage loft filled with tea, carpets and other everyday goods … But beneath the surface lies a world of secrets – the warehouse serves as a covert hub for contraband such as schnapps, exotic spices and stolen goods!
“In our anniversary year, we wanted to tell historical stories that we have a very special connection to – and what could be more fitting than a gripping story about smuggling and shady traders in the Speicherstadt? So, we are paying tribute to our own home with this special show and at the same time celebrating ten years of UNESCO World Heritage with our neighbors,” says Miriam Wolframm, General Manager of the Hamburg Dungeon. ■
