New Temporary Horrorland Park Near Barcelona Offers Creepy Halloween Fun

Now it's Halloween time again and also some of the European amusement parks are again entertaining their guests with creepy decoration, live entertainment and scary attractions. A new, temporary “Halloween theme park” was recently realized in Spain: A former industrial site in Cercs, about an hour’s drive north of Barcelona, is the setting for Horrorland, a new temporary scream park, which opens its doors in the evening several times during this year’s Halloween season. Adrenaline-seekers can enjoy several haunted house attractions with experiences ranging from moderate to extreme, escape rooms, interactive horror games, shows and animations. The park area, which verges on a swampland, is shaped by several tunnels, closed mines and a sawmill – an ideal setting the park makes use of to raise the goosebumps factor for guests. A number of gastronomic facilities and a merchandise shop complete the offer for visitors. The park is primarily aimed at teenagers and adults, visitors must be at least 13 years old for an unaccompanied visit.

The concept of the temporary scream park was implemented by Horror Box from Barcelona – a specialist firm for the production of (horror) events and shows – in cooperation with Catalan Insomnia Corporation company, which creates scary escape rooms. (eap)
