(eap) The leisure park Parc Spirou, located in southern France, has presented further details about its new themed area announced for 2026. The area is set to be named “NARUTO – Konoha Land” and will be dedicated to the Japanese manga and anime franchise “Naruto” of the same name. Covering an area of around 1.5 hectares, the new themed land will immerse visitors of all ages in the village of “Konoha”, the central setting of the series.
A thematic realization of well-known locations from the Naruto universe is planned. These include, among others, the “Hokage Rock”, the office of the “Hokage” (head of the village), as well as food and beverage offerings such as “Ramen Ichiraku” and the “Dango Shop”. The offering will be complemented by the “Chûnin Exam Grounds”, an experience area designed as a ninja course for various age groups.
Two attractions are planned as the core elements of the new themed land. One of these is “Kyûbi Unchained”, a Launch Coaster by the Italian manufacturer Zamperla, which had already been presented at the IAAPA Expo 2024. The roller coaster features a track length of around 700 meters, two launch sections, two airtime elements, and a spike approximately 30 meters high. The maximum speed is expected to reach up to 75 km/h. According to the park, the installation of the track has been completed and testing is currently underway.
In addition, another Zamperla attraction is planned with “Rasengan Chakra Rotation”. This will be a “Nebulaz” family ride, thematically inspired by the characteristic ninja technique “Rasengan”. Furthermore, ten life-size figures of well-known characters are to be installed throughout the themed area, serving as visual design elements and photo opportunities. The figures are being produced by the Japanese company Design COCO.
“Over 20 years ago, Naruto entered our lives and transformed the cultural landscape in France. We hope fans from around the world will experience an adventure that’s authentic, rich, and unforgettable. We promise an unprecedented, emotion-filled experience,” said Julien Papelier, CEO of the Media-Participations Group – the French publisher and distributor of the Naruto manga and anime and parent company of Parc Spirou Provence. ■
