Paris/France: New Visitor Record for Refurbished Jardin d’Acclimatation – Nearly 1 Million Visitors Since Re-Opening

In EAP, issue 6/2017 we published a detailed report about the planned renovation of the 18-hectare large Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris for an investment volume of 60 million Euros. After nine months of major refurbishment measures, the park was finally re-opened on 1 June this year to welcome its first guests. On the opening weekend alone, a total of 35,000 visitors came to the park, within the following month 200,000 guests were recorded – a great success for the LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) group and their partners at Compagnie des Alpes, responsible for the operation of the park for the next 25 years. The summer surpassed all expectations too – by 31 August, nearly one million guests had visited the park to try out the 40 attractions on the premises of Bois de Boulogne urban forest area, accoring to the park’s own statement. During the first three months, one out of five guests purchased their tickets online, a new service that had not been available for guests coming to Jardin d‘Acclimatation before.

“This accomplishment and our happy visitors represent the best reward and a true recognition for our park team, consisting of 300 employees who have worked here during the renovation phase and since the re-opening back in June,“ says Marc-Antoine Jamet, President and CEO of Jardin d’Acclimatation. “The challenge for us now and until the end of this year is to maintain this positive momentum: To establish long-term commitment with our regular customers, to generate new customers from the region and from abroad, as well as to satisfy our customers and in this way to generate repeat visits […].” (eap)
