Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort Anaheim Now Open

(eap) Yesterday saw the opening of the refurbished Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. The hotel, previously known as Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, has undergone an extensive redesign. The hotel’s new décor and design reflect various Pixar films and pay tribute to the artistic process behind the movies. It shows early sketches through to the finished design and depicts special moments from Pixar stories. “At Pixar, our mission is to tell great stories. And nothing is more exciting than when we see those stories come to life in Disney parks. Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is the perfect example – it’s like walking into a world of Pixar. It’s truly immersive, and we’re thrilled to have collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to make such an experience possible for guests,” says Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter.

Both the lobby and the hotel rooms have been redesigned and given a Pixar theming. In addition, the roof terrace has been modernized, where visitors can now relax by the Pixar pool and the youngest can splash around on the new “Nemo” splash pad. The “Small Bytes” pool bar, which will offer drinks and small snacks, will open at the beginning of March. Also, there is a play area offering various Pixar-inspired mini-games. The hotel’s fitness center has also been expanded and given a new look. In the new “STOR-E” souvenir shop (a tribute to the Pixar film “WALL-E”), visitors can purchase various Pixar and Disneyland Resort merchandise items. Hotel guests will find breakfast, lunch and dinner options in the new restaurant of the Great Maple chain. There is also “The Sketch Pad Café” in the lobby, where guests can grab a coffee and assorted pastries to go.

“We are looking to turbocharge expansion at Disneyland Resort over the coming years, and the transformation of Pixar Place Hotel is a demonstration of how we’re creating high-quality guest experiences infused with our most popular stories,” says Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock. “With upgraded accommodations and amenities, plus stylish Pixar flair throughout, Pixar Place Hotel is proud to deliver an elevated, distinctly Disney experience that only comes with staying at the Disneyland Resort,” states Ron Silagyi, General Manager of the Pixar Place Hotel. ■
