Playmobil-FunPark: New “Construction Site” Theme World Opens
(eap) To mark its 25th anniversary, the Playmobil-FunPark in Zirndorf, Germany, has opened a new themed world. The 1,400 square meter area with the theme “construction site” is aimed at children who want to slip into the role of construction workers.

The central element of the play landscape is an area designed as a “quarry” in which plastic building blocks of different sizes can be moved with the help of conveyor screws or a winding tower. Right next to it is a wooden excavator with a height of 3.6 meters and a length of nine meters. It is equipped with a climbing net and a slide.
On a walk-in house construction site, children can place loose building blocks in an open wooden construction or to equip the adjacent floor area with paving elements. A construction container serves as a shelter for Playmobil construction vehicles, which can be used to transport bulk materials on an integrated play landscape.

The new themed area is complemented by a balancing facility with various elements for hanging, climbing and crawling. The play landscape was created in collaboration with SIK-Holz, among other partners. ■
