(eap) The show theme park Puy du Fou España near the Spanish city of Toledo welcomed its six-millionth visitor since opening in March 2021 last Saturday (see our opening report in EAP 3/2021). This marks a milestone in the still relatively young history of the first international offshoot modelled on the French Puy du Fou park in Les Epesses.

Olivier Strebelle, Managing Director of Puy du Fou España, expressed his gratitude to visitors: “Six million visitors mean much more than just a number. They represent six million people who have chosen to spend part of their time with us, create memories with their families and discover history in a different way. That trust is our greatest source of pride and also our greatest responsibility. We will continue working to inspire those who visit us and to make every day at Puy du Fou España an unforgettable experience.”

© EAP-Magazin With a total of ten shows, craft demonstrations and a walkthrough attraction, as well as five themed areas designed as historic villages, the park appeals to both domestic and international audiences. The award-winning evening show “El Sueño de Toledo” will be performed twice on two selected dates in October for the first time, allowing up to 14,000 guests to experience the elaborate historical spectacle on both 24 and 31 October.

While the park will attract visitors with a festive Christmas atmosphere particularly in December, this will be followed by its regular winter break before the gates reopen for the new season in spring 2027. ■
