Puy du Fou Reaches 3-Million-Visitor Mark in 2025
(eap) As announced this past weekend, Puy du Fou has reached a new historic milestone: In 2025, three million guests visited the theme park located in France’s Vendée region. Its Spanish sister park welcomed 1.7 million visitors this year. With a total of 4.7 million guests across both parks (in France and Spain), the group reportedly achieved an increase of 400,000 visitors compared to 2024. In response to this success and the continued high demand at the French park, the overnight capacity of “La Cité Nocturne” – the complex of the park’s own themed hotels – is set to be expanded next year. One hundred new rooms will be added to the Grand Siècle hotel.
Alongside the publication of its visitor figures, the park also announced that it will host a new Christmas event starting in 2026. During this event, in addition to the other shows, the park will present “Le Mystère de Noël”, a 30-minute evening show featuring 150 actors, dancers and horse riders, accompanied by classical and festive music, to retell the original story of Christmas in the park’s Stadium Gallo-Romain. The park will completely be open for 15 additional days – from 19 December 2025 (except 25 December) to 3 January 2026 – amongst others, with two to three performances of the Christmas spectacle per day to delight visitors.
Another premiere is planned for 2027: From December onwards, Puy du Fou will go on tour with a new live production. Titled “Mousquetaire, une création du Puy du Fou”, the show will be created in collaboration with the production company Rivaj Group and will immerse audiences in the world of the Musketeers. Fifty initial show dates have already been announced for Paris, while further venues across France are expected to be revealed once ticket sales officially begin.
On an international level, Puy du Fou is preparing to open its next chapter with the launch of its first permanent theme park in the United Kingdom in 2029 (see EAP News of 01 Sep 2025). Over a period of ten years, a total investment of 700 million euros is planned for the project, with 350 million euros allocated to the park’s opening phase. ■
