(eap) In the Polish city of Piechowice in Lower Silesia (Karkonosze Mountains), the Querion Hypermedia Entertainment Park has recently launched as a new year-round indoor offering for visitors. The park covers more than 4,000 square metres. The project is backed by the hotel operating group Górskie Resorty, which developed the park together with the Austrian company Attraktion!, who also served as the main supplier. Querion focuses primarily on media-based, immersive attractions. A spacious pre-show area with various projections and a soundscape connects all other areas and is intended to introduce visitors to the experience ahead.

Among the highlights is “Circulum 360° Interactive”, realised there for the first time, an interactive theatre ride with two circularly arranged rows of seats that rotate independently of one another. Up to 44 guests can experience the “Angry Birds Pigvasion” game, developed in cooperation with Rovio Entertainment, and influence the real-time-generated action on the projection surface visible all around them using interactive shooting devices. A four-storey “Fly XD Flying Theater” with a total of 50 seats has also been installed. In addition, there is an “Explorer 5D Stand Up Motion Theater” platform (in the park: “Explorer 270° Platform”), designed for 50 guests and telling a dinosaur adventure. The park also features a 4D/5D cinema with 52 moving seats and special effects, as well as a SIM racing area where several Garra® racing simulators are available. In addition, there is a “VR Zone”, where visitors can use VR headsets to immerse themselves in other worlds. An edutainment area is dedicated to the topic of AI and invites guests to engage with artificial intelligence in a playful way.

For the production of films and multimedia content used in this park and beyond, a dedicated company, QMS Querion Media Studio, was founded. A souvenir shop, a food court and a wardrobe area with lockers round off the offering. According to Dariusz Surynt, CEO of the hotel group, the company intends to invest in the development of further Querion park locations in the future. ■
