Qatar: Premier Rides to Design and Build Signature Attraction for the New Doha Oasis Mall

The new Oasis Mall project in Doha, currently under construction and slated for a 2017 opening, will feature upscale retail shops, fine dining experiences as well as an entertainment component. The development of the about 28,000 square meter large indoor theme park Adventure Island is being overseen by Ohio-based lead consultant International Theme Park Services Inc. (ITPS). As announced recently, Premier Rides from Maryland (US) has been selected by the Halul Real Estate Investment Company to design and build the signature attraction for the 300 million US dollar indoor theme park: a highly-themed dark ride launch coaster named “Dragonfire”. According to the manufacturer, the rollercoaster “will be one of the largest and most sophisticated attractions ever built by Premier Rides.” One of the attraction’s special features will be a backwards launch.
