SEA LIFE Bray to Close Permanently
(eap) After more than 25 years in operation, the SEA LIFE center in Bray, Ireland (near Dublin), will have to close its doors permanently towards the end of this year, as was decided by operator Merlin Entertainments. “This has been a very difficult decision and one that was made only after careful consideration,” says Merlin. For the animals living at Sea Life in Bray, the group will now look for suitable new homes in the next few weeks, utilizing its own Sea Life network where possible. Merlin also says to provide full support to the staff team of Sea Life Bray.
“We are proud of the positive impact SEA LIFE Bray has had on thousands of children and families that have visited over the decades, showing guests first-hand the wonders of the world’s oceans and the important role we can all play in conserving the oceans for future generations. We want to thank our amazing team and guests who have made this time so memorable,” the closing aquarium communicates. A visit is still possible in the next few weeks. ■
