Santa’s Village Celebrates the Opening of “Yeti Trek”

(eap) The Canadian theme park Santa’s Village in Bracebridge (Ontario) opened “Yeti Trek” – a new main attraction – this past weekend. The new ride is a Family Coaster from Dutch manufacturer Vekoma, which was built as a customized version.

The over 400-metre-long track of the coaster leads through wooded parkland and reaches a maximum height of 20 meters. The train accommodates up to 20 passengers per ride and reaches a top speed of over 60 km/h. The theoretical capacity is 700 pph. Rides are possible from a body height of one meter (accompanied by an adult), or from 1.20 meters alone.

The theme of the ride is based on the mythical creature Yeti – a humorously designed Yeti figure adorns the rear of the train, underlining the theme of the attraction. ■
