Schleswig-Holstein / Germany: Fun Arena Celebrates First Anniversary!

Fun Arena, the indoor sport and recreation park that was opened in the northern Hamburg district of Henstedt-Ulzburg last year (we reported on this in EAP 3/2011), celebrated its first anniversary this week. Since the opening more than 85.000 visitors have come to “Fun World”, the play area of the facility. Operator Thomas Hildebrandt (photo) is very proud of this result. The indoor facility occupies a total space of 12,000 square meters and offers amongst others an electric go-cart track, a high ropes course, playing fields for soccer, volleyball and the like, a water playground, an adventure minigolf course as well as a gym with sauna and swimming pool area. The 57-room Arena Hotel adjacent to the Fun World provides the possibility to stay overnight. One of Thomas Hildebrandt’s ideas for future projects is to open a winter soccer camp in cooperation with former professional soccer players. (eap)
