Season Start at Plopsaland Deutschland with “100% Wolf”
(eap) This Sunday, Germany’s Plopsaland Deutschland will start into the 2026 season with its new family roller coaster “100% Wolf” as well as further premieres. The installation realized by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides is characterized by a varied track layout with a total length of 760 meters. Among its special features are, among others, a switch track with backward ride as well as a spike element. The ride experience is complemented by extensive theming based on the film and series brand of the same name “100% Wolf”. Children from a height of one meter are already allowed to ride, which positions the attraction specifically as a family ride. Further details about the “all-generations coaster” will be presented in the upcoming EAP issue 3/2026.
The official start of the season on March 22 will be celebrated as part of a “Grand Opening” with special highlights. For the further course of the year, the park has announced additional novelties in the show and event sector. The Easter celebrations from March 27 to April 12 will kick off the event series, including an Easter egg hunt in cooperation with the confectionery company WAWI. In addition, further seasonal events such as the “RPR1 Summer Nights”, the “Halloween Fright Nights” as well as the subsequent winter opening await guests. The event program is complemented, among others, by the first “Plopsa StreetDance Festival”, the “Cars & Coasters” meeting for automobile fans as well as two performances by the children’s metal band “Heavysaurus”.
Over the course of the season, two anniversaries will also be in focus: the 50th anniversary of the animated series “Maya the Bee” is planned to be celebrated, among other offers, with a new parade, a daily “Maya Birthday Show” as well as two new mascot characters (“Arnie” and “Barney”). In addition, an anniversary event on June 20 on the 25th birthday of the roller coaster “bigFM Expedition GeForce” with exclusive rides and a charity marathon is planned.
With the laying of the foundation stone for the Plopsaqua Haßloch water park and the start of construction work for the “Xtreme Spinning Coaster” in cooperation with Tomorrowland, two further development steps for the park are also being planned this year. ■
