(eap) The U.S. theme park Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, celebrated an important construction milestone for its resort project last Friday: with the installation of the final rooftop beacon, the structure has been “crowned”. The planned hotel complex is the first project within the operator Herschend’s strategic investment of half a billion US dollars over a period of ten years in the Ozarks. The opening of the resort is scheduled for 2027.

“This resort reflects Herschend’s belief in Silver Dollar City and the continued growth of tourism in the Ozarks,” emphasized Brad Thomas, President of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts. “Guests from all 50 states are drawn to our immersive setting, signature rides, world-class festivals and our heritage as the Home of American Craftsmanship. Set among the beauty of the Ozarks, this resort will help grow visitation to Silver Dollar City and the Table Rock Lake region for years to come.”
At the same time, new details about the 262-room hotel’s interior were revealed. The design of the resort is intended to combine the natural beauty of the Ozarks with Silver Dollar City’s signature craftsmanship, character and charm. Handcrafted furniture from the workshops of the park’s craftsmen, natural Ozarks stone and further details running throughout the public areas are intended to contribute to an authentic overnight experience.

“The moment families arrive at the Silver Dollar City Resort, we want them to feel like they’ve stepped into their own Ozarks home,” said Merrill Puckett Miller, Chief Creative Officer for Herschend. “Inspired by Silver Dollar City and the surrounding Ozarks’ beauty, the design creates warm, welcoming places for families to gather, unwind and make memories together.”
Resort guests are also expected to benefit from exclusive park amenities, including door-to-door transportation between the resort and Silver Dollar City, expedited ride access and further benefits that are to be announced. ■
