South Korea: Grand Opening of New Jeju Shinhwa World Leisure and Entertainment Resort

South Korea’s new Jeju Shinhwa World – an integrated leisure and entertainment resort on Jeju island, developed and operated by Landing International Development Limited (cf. EAP news from March 2nd, 2015) – was officially inaugurated last week, after some of its belonging facilities had already been opened in phases since April 2017 (cf. EAP news from August 22nd, 2017). Visitors can now enjoy the Shinhwa Theme Park (which opened in September 2017), the Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Casino and the Shinhwa Shoppes mall. Also, there are two luxury hotels with the Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort and the Jeju Shinhwa World Marriott Resort. Furthermore, the integrated destination resort, which spans a total area of some 250 hectares, comprises M.I.C.E. facilities for business clients.
Jeju Shinhwa World will expand its offer in the future: Besides a Lionsgate-based outdoor theme park (Lionsgate Movie World, c.f. our EAP news from March 13th, 2018), which is scheduled to open in 2020, guests can already look forward to the Shinhwa Waterpark, which is set to go into operation this summer.
