Spain: Ferrari Land Launches Kids Area with Five New Attractions

In April 2017, Ferrari Land opened as the third gate of PortAventura World (see our report in EAP, 4/17), celebrating the Italian racecar brand – today, the red-colored theme park launches its first expansion with an all-new kids area, adding five family-friendly attractions to the park’s ride portfolio.

The new kids area is located directly adjacent to the 112 meter high “Red Force” launch coaster (from Intamin). As its “little brother”, the “Junior Red Force” coaster promises youngsters a similar feeling of velocity and thrill. Little guests can also try out the “Crazy Pistons” fly over attraction to experience the movement of motor pistons or get an extra portion of adrenaline on the nine meter high “Kids’ Tower” family freefall tower. “Champions Race” offers a tour in “Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa”-designed cars and on “Flying Race” (a red balloon), young park visitors can prove their pilot skills.

All attractions for the new kids area were supplied by Italian manufacturer SBF Visa. (eap)
