Under the motto of “Art Inspires Future“, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with special exhibition concepts, such as ”From Fauvism to Surrealism. Masterpieces from the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris”, which has been on display since the beginning of February (end runs through until May), or “Motion, Autos, Art, Architecture” (April to September). The main celebrations will then follow in the fall with, among other things, exhibits from the museum’s collection that can be found throughout the building.
The further cultural program for the Guggenheim’s anniversary includes music events that will transform the museum into a concert hall over five weekends from May to November. Other interdisciplinary offerings will also be created, such as the dance performance “The Missing Element”, the two-day symposium “Water Ecologies”, which represents a collaboration between art, technology and science, and many other offerings within the city of Bilbao.
