Switzerland: New Slide Fun for the Summer Season

(eap) Two municipal outdoor pools in Western Switzerland have recently received new water slide installations from the French manufacturer Edsun. At the outdoor pool of the Commune de Val-de-Ruz (Canton of Neuchâtel), the Piscine d’Engollon, two new slides were installed: an “Aquatube” tube slide over 50 metres long, as well as an open double slide of the type “Slide’TOB 2 runs” with two parallel lanes measuring just under 13 metres in length. Both installations start from the same slide tower and end in separate run-out pools located directly next to the outdoor pool.

The outdoor pool of the Commune de Broc in the Canton of Fribourg was comprehensively renovated and reopened this year. As part of the modernization, the Piscine Communale de Broc received a new “Must’TOB” slide measuring around 57 metres in length. Further amenities of the facility include a sports swimming pool, a toddler pool with a kiddie slide, as well as a snack bar with a terrace. ■
