TDC Appoints Chris Fitzgerald to Lead Experiential Growth

Chris Fitzgerald takes over the newly created position as Head of Experiential & Installations at TDC.

(eap) Australia-based Technical Direction Company (TDC) has promoted its employee Chris Fitzgerald (pictured) to the newly created leadership position for the field of “Experiential & Installations”, supporting the company’s projects involving immersive environments, museums, attractions and cultural destinations.

The appointment reflects TDC’s continued investment in this growing business area, in which the company combines conventional AV services with creative, technical and production expertise. Chris Fitzgerald has been with TDC for more than ten years. In his future role as Head of Experiential Growth, he will work closely with clients to help shape visitor experiences from concept through delivery.

“Experiential projects are no longer just about technology, they’re about creating memorable places and experiences,” said Michael Hassett, Founder & CEO of TDC. “Chris’s appointment strengthens TDC’s ability to partner with clients early in the creative process, where the biggest opportunities are realised.”

Fitzgerald is looking forward to future projects: “Clients often come to us with a technical challenge, but our greatest value lies in helping shape the creative outcome from the very beginning. Our goal is to create experiences that people want to return to, experiences that remain engaging and relevant long after opening day.”

TDC, which is headquartered in Sydney and also operates offices in Melbourne and Auckland, New Zealand, has worked on projects including “BBC Earth Experience”, “Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon” and the “Vivid Sydney” festival (cf. EAP news of 19 June 2026). Alongside its principal activities in Australia and New Zealand, the company maintains numerous partnerships with stakeholders across the global entertainment and events industry. ■
