(eap) Taunus Wunderland in the Rhine-Main region is going to reopen its gates tomorrow. “We have used the winter break to prepare many new attractions and surprises,” announces Park Director Otto Barth Junior. “Taunus Wunderland will offer even more fun and thrills for the whole family in 2024, right in the heart of nature.”

The new themed area “Arya’s Drachenschluch” (Engl.: “Arya’s Dragon Gorge”) opened last year with the “Milan Flug” (Engl.: “Milan Flight”), a roundabout from SBF Visa. This season, three more attractions are to be added to the new themed area. These include the new roller coaster “Gobbi Express”, a Powered Coaster from MACK Rides, which originally was into operation as the “Galaxie Express” at the Space Center Bremen at the end of 2003. The ride covers a track length of 500 meters and reaches a top speed of 45 km/h. The final construction work on the station and design of the roller coaster is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Another interactive attraction is due to follow in the summer: „Gobbies Energiekraftwerk“, (Engl.: “Gobbie’s Energy Power Plant”), a music express from SBF Visa. In this new high-tech music express, the passengers’ reactions will have a direct influence on the music, lighting, and volume. The attraction will have 20 carriages, each with space for up to three people. Furthermore, there will be a new attraction called „Baumbarths Wasserspielplatz“ (Engl.:“Baumbarth’s Water Playground”), which promises a refreshing way to cool off in the warmer months. The 300 square meter play area will feature fountains up to 2.20 meters high, waterfalls and water cannons. With the latter, particularly good water shooters will be able to wake up a talking tree…“With our new attractions, we are opening a whole new form of entertainment. For the first time, our guests will be able to influence exactly what happens,” adds Barth Junior. ■
