Terra Botanica: Damien Touboulic Appointed as New General Manager
(eap) The French theme park Terra Botanica in Angers, dedicated to plants and biodiversity, has appointed Damien Touboulic (photo) as its new General Manager. A graduate of the ESSCA international business school in Angers, Touboulic has been overseeing marketing, communications, and sales of the park for over 13 years. According to the company, his extensive experience and deep connection with the park make him ideally suited to continue its strategic development.
Opened in 2010, Terra Botanica welcomes around 550,000 visitors annually and ranks among France’s leading leisure parks. Since early 2025, the park has been part of the Looping Group, which integrated it as its ninth site in France and 20th park in Europe – within the framework of a long-term partnership with the City of Angers and the Département Maine-et-Loire (see EAP News, 9 Dec 2024). Through this acquisition, the operator aims to strengthen its presence in northwestern France and create a strategic platform together with other regional facilities such as Zoo de la Flèche, Planète Sauvage, Mini-Château and Aquarium de Touraine.
At the same time, the Looping Group expressed its gratitude to Pierre Watrelot, who has managed the park for the past five years. He played a key role in integrating Terra Botanica into the Looping Group and significantly contributed to its development and positioning. ■
