Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen Announces Extension

Copenhagen’s Tivoli has just announced the construction of a 1,200 square meter large new theme area for 2013. The new area is planned to be opened for the next season’s beginning in April and feature topics like galaxies, planets and stars. Around ten million DKK (around 1.35 million EUR) will be invested in the new area, which will be the first step of a renewal of Tivoli in the coming years. The new attractions will include an “eagle flight”, a wild Air Racer ride from Zamperla, a drop tower for children as well as an interactive flying carousel – all of them featuring the motto of “the dream of flying”. The aim of the investment is to ensure an increase in the 140-year-old park’s visitor numbers. (eap)
