Two New Water Slides Go to Hawaiian Falls Waterparks / USA

Two of the Texan waterparks belonging to the waterpark chain Hawaiian Falls will open new water slides this summer. The Hawaiian Falls location at Roanoke will add the world’s first “Double BowlsEye™” from SplashTacular. This bowl slide enables two rafts to compete with each other. On the launch platform in a height of about 18 meters two 2-person rafts wait for their start. The rafts are then launched simultaneously into two separate enclosed slides reaching speeds of up to 48 km/h. The two rafts finally reach the bowl, where they chase each other to the finish. Nearly 480 pph can enjoy the race against one another.

The second water slide from Splash Tacular will be installed at The Colony and be called “The Whirlwind”. This “360°Rush” slide is very similar to the one described before except from the fact that it is a body slide. Two opposing tube slides empty out at the same time in only one funnel. In a height of about 21 meters, two riders are placed in their respective launch chamber. After a 3-2-1 countdown, the riders drop simultaneously through an opaque floor into the tubes. They also reach speeds of about 48 km/h. The race continues in the funnel where the riders chase each other until they come to a stop in the shallow pool. (eap)
