UAE: Hub Zero Indoor Park Thrills Gaming Fans

The Arab real estate investment company Meraas recently opened the region’s first indoor gaming park Hub Zero, which is located on Dubai’s City Walk. On an area of 15,000 square meters, gamers can immerse into the world of popular video games by using wireless VR technology. Hub Zero’s various attractions and rides feature eight IP brands out of the video game’s spectrum. “Battlefield” from Electronic Arts, “Resident Evil” from Capcom and “Gears of War” from Microsoft place gaming enthusiasts in the middle of a crossfire while “Final Fantasy” from Sqare Enix, “Asura’s Wrath” from Capcom and “Dragon Age” from Electronic Arts open the door to mesmerizing fantasy worlds. For football fans, KONAMI brought “Pro Evolution Soccer” to Hub Zero. The state-of-the-art VR technology was delivered by the US-based company VRstudios, who supplied its platform and products for the first time to the United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, VRstudios developed a virtual reality arena exclusively for Meraas. A children’s play area themed around “PopCap’s Plants vs Zombies” vies for the attention of younger gamers. The new indoor entertainment park also comprises event rooms, retail spaces as well as food and beverage offerings. (eap)
