USA: Dollywood Looks Forward to New Christmas Parade

This year, the Dollywood Company will surprise its visitors with a new Christmas parade, which is celebrated under the motto of “Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love”. Vibrant floats, interactive characters and few other surprises will spread cheer throughout Dollywood this holiday season and complement the Christmas offerings which include four million festive lights. “Christmas is the time of the year when traditions, faith and family come together to create experiences we all remember forever. That is why my new movie and this parade are so important for me. I truly believe ‘The Parade of Many Colors’ will inspire some of those same lifelong memories for the families who see it,” said park owner Dolly Parton. The park invested 2.5 million US-Dollar in this new entertainment offer, which is part of the 300 million US-Dollar investment strategy announced in 2013.

Furthermore, there have been recent changes in the management of the Dollywood Company – four employees were designated with new responsibilities. Following his position as Senior Property Manager, Derrick Calkin was appointed General Manager of the Smoky Mountain Cabins. His colleague, Jason Boothe, who entered the company some 21 years ago, now holds the position of Vice President of Operations at Dollywood. Jack Stevenson, already a team member for two years now, was designated new Senior Marketing Manager, responsible for media buying, attendance forecasting and pricing. Jessica Hall, who joined in 2015 providing training and development within the Sales & Service Center, is now Manager of Communications. (eap)
