USA: IAAPA Award Winners — Puy du Fou, Futuroscope & Gröna Lund Receive Brass Ring Awards

After the new members of the “IAAPA Hall of Fame” had already been announced early last week (see EAP-News of 2 Nov 2021), the announcement of this year’s IAAPA Award winners followed during further online presentations. The IAAPA “Meritorious Service Award“ was presented to Jason Freeman, corporate vice president of security, safety, health & environmental for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Rahen Shah, Managing Director of Arihant Industrial Corporation Ltd., received the “Outstanding Service Award“.

Having previously won IAAPA’s Outstanding Service Award in 1999 and 2007 and held numerous honorary positions with the association, Jack Mendez, Managing Director of BSR Group, LLC, has now been honored with the “Lifetime Service Award“: “I am honored to receive the lifetime service award. Over the years it has been a great pleaser working with so many great IAAPA members and staff in the committees. […]“ The “Young Professional Award“ this year went to Christopher Desch, General Manager of the adventure golf course Jen’s Links LLC.

Furthermore, the “Brass Ring Award 2021“ was presented. Among the European winners were Puy du Fou España (Best Theatrical Production: Annual Attendance Less than 1 Million / “El Último Contra – The Last Song“), Futuroscope (Most Creative Multimedia Spectacular / “La Clé des Songes“) and Gröna Lund (Best Digital Marketing Campaign / “Monster – King of Roller Coasters“).
