USA: LEGOLAND Florida Resort Opens LEGO® NINJAGO® World

LEGOLAND Florida Resort recently opened its new “LEGO® NINJAGO® World” theme area, in which kids can become a “ninja fighter” and enjoy a variety of attractions. The area features “LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride”, a 4D dark ride equipped with the modern MaestroTM handgesture technology from Canadian provider Triotech. Following the opening of the ride at LEGOLAND Billund, California and Malaysia in 2016 (c.f. EAP, issue 2/16), this will already be the fourth installation. Soon, two more Ninjago rides will open at the parks in Germany and in the British city of Windsor (c.f. EAP news from January 19th, 2017).

At “Zane’s Temple Build” children can contribute to a giant model of the “Ninjago monastery” with bins of loose LEGO bricks, while “Kai’s Spinners” is a twirling, whirling single-child platform where five to twelve year olds practice the ancient art of Spinjitzu. On the horizontal “Cole’s Rock Climb” climbing wall the young guests can show their strength and endurance, in “Jay’s Lightning Drill” they train precision and reflexes by pressing as many light-up targets as possible in a certain time frame. The lushly landscaped area also features large LEGO models of Ninjago heroes Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, Nya and Master Wu as well as “Wu’s Warehouse” themed retail shop.

Also, LEGOLAND Florida Resort will open its all-new LEGOLAND Beach Retreat on April 7th this year, which doubles the resort’s on-site accommodations and provides great views on Lake Dexter (c.f. EAP News from February 11th, 2016). (eap)
