USA: Ride Entertainment Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Das in Stevensville/Maryland ansässige Unternehmen Ride Entertainment feiert in diesem Jahr sein 20-jähriges Jubiläum.

Founded in 1998 by Ed Hiller, Stevensville/Maryland-based US company Ride Entertainment, which is known for its “Skycoaster®” product, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. As one of the leading partners in the fields of sales, operation and installation of amusement and thrill park attractions worldwide, the company, which started as a two-person-business, today has a staff of over 130 employees based at the two offices in Maryland and at the New York office located in Manhattan. In the past two decades, Ride Entertainment has successfully realized more than 200 thrill rides, generating over half a billion US Dollars in sales since founding, according to its own statement.

This year, Ride Entertainment also looks back on a number of projects, including the installation of the Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster “HangTime” at Knott’s Berry Farm in California (cf. EAP, 4/18) and the opening of the first Skywarp Coaster “Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster” at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom/California from Skyline Attractions (cf. EAP news from August 23rd, 2018).

“It’s humbling to think that Ride Entertainment has 210 projects under its belt. With a number of multi-million dollar projects still to be announced later this year, Ride Entertainment is poised to have 2018 be its highest grossing year to date. Ride has so much to celebrate, but the team is most thankful for the thrill-seekers that keep this industry thriving,” said Ed Hiller, founder & CEO of Ride Entertainment.

Another large-scale project of the company will be the installation of two record-breaking Gerstlauer rollercoasters at Nickelodeon Universe, an indoor park, which is part of the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. (cf. EAP, 1/18 & EAP News from November 3rd, 2017). (eap)
