USA: SeaWorld Orlando Announces New Spectacular River Rapids Attraction

Florida’s SeaWorld Orlando recently announced to build a new river rapids ride named “Infinity Falls”, which – starting in summer 2018 – will take guests on a 463 meter (1,520 feet) long tour through the South American rain forest. The new attraction from Intamin features a vertical lift section and an approx. 12 meter (40 feet) high drop as highlight.

“From the excitement of the thrilling rapids, to the unique vertical lift element, it will be an adventure that appeals to the entire family. Infinity Falls continues our commitment to investing in our park, and developing new ways to entertain and inspire our guests with meaningful, fun-filled vacations,” said Jim Dean, President of SeaWorld Orlando Parks (c.f. EAP news from January 18th, 2017). Of course the new attraction also fits in with SeaWorld’s philosophy to draw the visitors’ attention to threatened nature reserves and animals by implementing edutainment offers.

Brian Morrow, Vice President of Theme Park Design Experience at SeaWorld, explained: “We developed ‘Infinity Falls’ to tell new stories that showcase the beauty and sheer power of water and the amazing wildlife that lives in it. The result is a new river rapids adventure for our guests to explore, and actively help freshwater ecosystems in a way that only SeaWorld can bring to life.” (eap)
