USA: Triple Tower Complex to Open at Hersheypark

The Pennsylvania-based Hersheypark, an amusement park operated by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R), plans to open three new free fall towers of different heights in April 2017.

To “warm up”, park guests can try the approx. 24 meter (80 feet) high “Hershey’s Kisses TowerTM”, the lowest one of the tower triple equipped with twelve seats. Secondly, there is the “Reese’s TowerTM” with a height of 40 meters (131 feet), which has a capacity of 16 riders at the same time. Both models are so-called “double shot” towers, which transport riders to the top at a fast speed, creating negative and positive G-force experiences.

“Hershey’s TowerTM” presents the ultimate thrill, at which 20 persons drop off approx. 57 meters (189 feet) and can experience the two different gravity-defying experiences “Space Shot” and “Turbo Drop”. The latter reinforces the normal speed of a free fall.

All three towers will be supplied by S&S Worldwide. “The staggered heights and various seating configurations that Hersheypark has chosen are unique and have never been done before. We are excited about the visual impact the towers will have on their park and the options they will provide riders.
