USA: Worlds of Fun Present New Visitor Experiences

Located in Kansas City/Missouri, the Worlds of Fun amusement park has launched a new family ride in its “Scandinavia” theme area this season: “Nordic Chaser” invites park guests of all ages to a speedy ride in mini ships that rotate around a circuit. During the ride, the gondolas go up and down, making guests feel like gliding over ocean waves. “The Nordic Chaser ride will allow parents and children the opportunity to make lasting memories together,” said Tony Carovillano, General Manager, Worlds of Fun. “We strive to provide new and exciting changes at Worlds of Fun every year, and look forward to having more families experience every aspect we have to offer at the park,” added Carovillano.

In addition to the new family attraction, teenagers and thrill-seekers can enjoy a new ride experience on “Timber Wolf”, the park’s beloved wooden coaster which originally opened in 1989. The rollercoaster has seen a comprehensive makeover and has reopened with new track elements this season. One of its highlights are an intense 70-degree banked turn in the finale section, sending riders nearly sideways through the curve. Since 2014 “Timber Wolf” has been receiving constant enhancements; until to date, some 50 percent of the original ride track have been reengineered. Partner company for this latest renovation was US manufacturer Great Coasters International. Investments on the coaster are expected to continue through 2021. (eap)
