USA: YDreams and Studio 41B Enter Distribution Agreement

YDreams Global Technologies Inc. (YDreams), a company specialized in the development of AR and VR applications with offices in Vancouver/Canada, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, has recently signed a distribution agreement with Lake Wales/Florida-based Studio 41B design agency for the distribution and integration of YDreams’ “Arkave VR” platform. Arkave VR is a turnkey free-roam scale multi-user interactive VR attraction designed for family entertainment centers (FECs) and VR arcade centers. The collaboration of the two companies would also extend to the production capabilities in building and installing Arkave VR arenas.

“[…] I found the Arkave VR product to be superior to the other VR solutions in the market. I like the idea that they have moved away from tethered units and that they continue to evolve into smaller, less-strenuous equipment. We look forward to helping Arkave VR move into the U.S. FEC market,” commented Doug Wilkerson, CEO of Studio 41B.

During this year’s IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, trade show visitors had the chance to try out an Arkave VR demo installation featuring YDreams’ “The Last Squad” VR game (an alien shooter game) at Pointe Orlando. A permanent installation can be tested in Studio 41B’s showroom in Lake Wales. (eap)
