(eap) Canadian water park attraction manufacturer and designer WhiteWater West has been recognised as one of “Canada’s Best Managed Companies” for the eighth consecutive year. Under the decades-long leadership of its founder Geoff Chutter and now employing more than 400 people worldwide, the company has once again received the prestigious business award, which has been presented by the auditing and consulting firm Deloitte since 1993.

Canada’s Best Managed Companies are evaluated on the basis of their corporate structures in areas including strategy, innovation, culture, governance and financials. In 2026, a total of 505 companies from various industries were recognised, including businesses from the consumer goods industry, the energy sector and health care. Companies that retain the award for at least seven years also become members of the “Platinum Club” – a status now also achieved by WhiteWater.

“I humbly, but proudly, reflect how far we’ve come on our journey – within our global industry we are recognised as a leader. And now to be recognized among the elite of best managed Canadian companies shows we are a team performing at the highest level,” says WhiteWater CEO Geoff Chutter.

The recognition is said to reflect WhiteWater’s long-term focus on strategic growth, innovation and operational excellence, as well as the company’s commitment to employee culture and responsible business practices. Measures such as WhiteWater’s sustainability commitment and the recent publication of its annual Impact Report are intended to provide greater transparency into how the company operates and to strengthen the confidence of partners and clients around the world.

“Being recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the eighth consecutive year and achieving Platinum Club membership is an important milestone for WhiteWater,” said Una de Boer (photo, centre), Chief Marketing Officer, who accepted the award at the gala in Toronto last week. “It shows the strength of our strategy, the dedicatioon of our people, and our continued focus on innovation, governance, and long-term partnerships. It also reinforces the confidence that clients, partners, and employees place in WhiteWater as a trusted global business.”
