Yakari Adventure World Opens at Fort Fun Today

Today is the day: after successful test days, the Yakari adventure world opens at Fort Fun Abenteuerland, which is based in the Sauerland region (Germany). For the first time, the family theme park is integrating an IP into its theme portfolio. Fans of the children’s TV series “Yakari” can look forward to a themed world covering a total of 10,000 square meters with two new rides. The area around the popular children’s hero Yakari is to be steadily expanded until the end of 2025. So far, the attractions “Yakaris rutschige Wasserfälle” (Yakari’s Slippery Waterfalls) and “Kleiner Donners wilder Ritt” (Little Thunder’s Wild Ride) await park visitors here.

The former is an 80-meter long and 18-meter high boat slide from manufacturer Metallbau Emmeln. Visitors can race against each other on three slide tracks. To make the operation of the slide more sustainable, it will be supplied with rainwater from an underground tank. Always at Yakari’s side is his animal companion “Little Thunder”, to whom the second ride is dedicated, which is a track-guided horse ride that was also supplied by Metallbau Emmeln. (eap)
