The Land of Legends presents Waterfly

The Land of Legends opened in 2016 as Turkey’s largest theme park. Located not far from Antalya near Belek, in the heart of a tourist hotspot, the combined theme and water park is a popular excursion destination for holidaymakers. Since May of this year, another new attraction has been drawing visitors to the park’s water park area: adjacent to the dolphinarium, a new area called “Waterfly” has been created, featuring a nature-inspired design and a colourful insect world as its central theme. The new themed area combines exciting water attractions with a fascinating themed landscape ...

The USD 750 billion mega-project is part of Saudi Vision 2030 – the Gulf state’s master plan to diversify the country’s economy away from oil and towards alternative sources of revenue. Led by Qiddiya Investment Company, the development is intended primarily to boost the growing tourism and leisure sector ...

Valgard: Vikings Conquer Paultons Park

Creating an increasingly attractive excursion destination for families through continuous investment, including from its own resources, is also a goal that Paultons Park, still managed by the founding Mancey family, has set itself. In the past five years alone, the park has invested around EUR 23 million in optimising its offering. Today, the theme park in southern England covers an area of 57 hectares and features six themed areas with more than 80 rides and attractions. The new Viking area “Valgard: Realm of the Vikings” offers two roller coasters, a Wild Swing ride, as well as a restaurant and a play area for the youngest guests ...

| Hooghmoed at Efteling & more “little” towers

Efteling: Small Drop, Big Impact

When the first chimney sweeps climbed into the new lift towers at Efteling in early May, freefall was no longer reserved only for the grown-ups and the daring. Directly next to the “Baron 1898” roller coaster, younger guests now have a freefall experience of their own. “Hooghmoed” is the name of the new family attraction with which the Dutch theme park is expanding the world surrounding its dive coaster. Hooghmoed thus serves as an example of an attraction format with great potential, which can fulfil very different functions in parks: it takes up a ride sensation that is clearly associated with courage and thrills in the theme park context and translates it into a form that remains accessible to younger guests ...
