“Dønnervind”: A Premiere at Freizeitpark Plohn

The Freizeitpark Plohn amusement park, located in Lengenfeld in the German state of Saxony, is celebrating its 30th anniversary! To mark the occasion, the Völkel family, who own and operate the park, have added a very special new attraction to the visitor offering this season: “Dønnervind”, the world’s first Multi Launch Water Coaster. Supplied by Waldkirch-based manufacturer MACK Rides, the ride features two innovative LIM launches that, for the first time, accelerate the boats directly out of the water and several metres upwards along the track. The family attraction is located in the park’s “Viking Village” and has been elaborately themed to tell an exciting story...

After the European trade show of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) was already held in the British capital in 2011 and 2022, the industry is now returning to London for IAAPA Expo Europe (IEE).
