Twentieth Century Fox & GES Plan Touring Global AVATAR™ Exhibition

As announced recently, a new, state-of-the-art AVATAR™ global touring exhibition will be launched in the fall of 2016. Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products (Fox) has partnered with live events producer Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) to develop and tour the interactive exhibition based on James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster film. Fox and GES are developing the interactive attraction in consultation with James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment. “This unprecedented global exhibition will create a truly memorable experience for fans,” said Jeffrey Godsick, President of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. “Bringing the world of Pandora to life and comparing it to the wonders of our own planet, the AVATAR exhibition will bring together immersive new storytelling and science in a tangible, engaging forum.” During a dynamic 45-minute walk around the 10,000 square meter large exhibition, visitors will experience and explore issues such as “bioluminescence, connectivity among Pandora’s living things as well as its incredible and diverse flora and fauna.” A clever move, considering that 2017 will see the opening of a new AVATAR Land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (cp. EAP, issue 2/2014). (eap)
