USA: Homeland Security meets Amusement Industry

Instigated by the US Government, Homeland Security representatives recently met with high-ranking managers from the American leisure industry. The meeting focussed on the potential terrorism threat to amusement parks and the entire US entertainment industry in general. Some of the representatives from the amusement industry included: Kathleen McChesney, Vice President (threat assessment/crisis management) of Walt Disney Co. and spokespeople from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA), and various other associations from the American recreation and entertainment industry.
