Netherlands: Slagharen to Open Themed Adventure Trail this Autumn

“Black Hill Ranger Path” will be the name of the new themed adventure trail at Theme Park & Resort Slagharen, which is scheduled to open in autumn this year. The planned visitor attraction will offer a three-level high ropes course with over 30 obstacles, an eight meter high climbing wall, boulder challenges and – one of its highlights – a 115 meter long roll glider, allowing guests “to fly” along the landscape in around 30 seconds. The theming of the adventure trail, which will be supplied by Bulgaria’s Walltopia company, will feature the true story of John Wallace Crawford (1847-1917), an Irish emigrant to America and commander of the “Black Hill Rangers”: He helped other emigrants to pass dangerous canyon trails and rough terrain.

“In the past years, Theme Park & Resort Slagharen has become a modern theme park with ‘Wild West’ design. We have erected new accommodation units and launched the Aqua Mexicana water park. We will continue our investment strategy to offer our guests an even more exciting visit in the future,” said Wouter Dekkers, General Manager of Slagharen. Parques Reunidos, operator of the Dutch theme park and resort, invests 1.3 million Euros into the new themed adventure trail, construction works of which are set to begin this summer. (eap)
