(eap) Following the great opening of the brand-new Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier shopping-, lifestyle and leisure centre at the beginning of April this year, the next-generation LEGO® Discovery Centre – also located in the complex – was officially launched today. On an area of over 3,000 square meters, visitors can discover a LEGO® play experience in a total of twelve areas. These are primarily aimed at families with children aged between two and twelve years and were designed by Merlin Entertainments together with the LEGO Group. Regular “After Work” events are also planned for adult LEGO fans.
The central element of the new family attraction is the “LEGO Mini World”, in which well-known Hamburg landmarks have been recreated in detail using LEGO bricks. Other stations include the interactive “Space Mission”, the “Imagination Express” ride attraction and the “LEGO DUPLO® Park” specially designed for small children. The focus of the centre is on creative building, with “Master Model Builders” on-site to give young guests tips and support.
