Germany: Second TimeRide VR Location Launches in Dresden this Week

The second location of the TimeRide VR historic Virtual Reality attraction – a concept of TimeRide GmbH, the first installation of which was opened last year in the city of Cologne (cf. TimeRide VR Cöln, EAP, 5/17) – will open its doors this upcoming Friday (Nov 23rd) in Dresden/Germany, dubbed TimeRide VR Dresden. With the aid of modern VR technology, visitors will be able to experience the city in its baroque period some 300 years ago. According to the storyline, visitors are invited to a pompous wedding celebration at the historic The Zwinger building. Participants will pass through a number of scenes: in the “hall of mirrors”, visitors can virtually attire themselves with historic robes; also, they will experience a carriage ride through the suburb of Dresden to discover the city in a new way.

“As I was born in Dresden, this TimeRide VR project is a dream come true. In addition, we will place the award-winning TimeRide concept into a new historic era. Our guests will be able to experience pompous celebrations during the era of ‘August the Strong’,” commented TimeRide founder and CEO Jonas Rothe. (eap)
