Andreas Veilstrup Andersen Transitions from Liseberg to Tivoli Gardens

Andreas Veilstrup Andersen (photo), CEO and President of Sweden’s Liseberg Group, will transition to Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens amusement park taking over as new Executive Vice President. The native Dane was COO of Tivoli before his transition to Liseberg in 2011 (cf. EAP News f. Sept 17th, 2010).

“I am very proud of the Liseberg that I have been involved in managing and developing. But I am most proud of my fantastic colleagues, whom I know will take Liseberg to new heights,” says Andersen. During his time at the helm of Liseberg, several new attractions were opened at the park and with the Liseberg indoor waterpark and theme hotel, which are currently under construction and set to open in 2021 (cf. EAP 4/17), he brought two further large-scale projects on its way.

Liseberg’s Board of Directors will shortly start a recruitment process to find a new CEO: “Andreas has done a fantastic job as CEO of Liseberg and he leaves a very well-run company. It is important for us to find the right person who can continue to lead Liseberg into the future,” comments Christer Holmgren, Chairman of the Board of Liseberg Group. (eap)
