Center Parcs Europe Plans to Open First Holiday Park in Denmark

The holiday park chain Center Parcs Europe continues to expand. After only recently achieving a further step in the project on the German Baltic coast (cf. EAP news of 13 Apr 2021), the provider now announces its first location for Scandinavia. In Nordborg on the southern Danish island of Als, a holiday park complex with initially 440 holiday homes is to be created by 2024, with expansion options to grow to a total of up to 700 accommodations in the future. In Denmark, too, guests will have access to the usual year-round offering with a Market Dome, an Aqua Mundo water park, various restaurants and shopping options, and a range of leisure activities.

“We are very grateful to our partners Linak and the Bitten & Mads Clausen Foundation BMC for giving us the opportunity to manage this spectacular park overlooking the Baltic Sea. We look forward to soon also being represented in the Scandinavian tourism market with a Center Parcs park and to delighting guests with our wide range of leisure activities,” says Olivier Garaïalde, CEO of Center Parcs Europe. He continues, “Our focus in this project is also on a sustainable vacation concept, which means that we strive to have as little impact as possible on the surrounding nature when building the accommodation and leisure facilities. Of course, typical Danish elements of architecture and design will be an integral part of the holiday park. The facilities will be available all year round and will offer great experiences for all age groups from young to old.”

Frank Daemen, Managing Director of Center Parcs Germany & Scandinavia, adds: “The Nordborg region, located on the Baltic coast of Jutland near the German-Danish border, is the ideal place for our debut in Denmark and Scandinavia. In addition to guests from Germany and Denmark, travelers from Scandinavian countries such as Norway and Sweden can now also look forward to our ecological and versatile offer in close proximity. We are convinced that the holiday park with direct beach access and a wide range of indoor and outdoor as well as water sports activities will be an enrichment for this attractive region at the Baltic Sea and the local community.” (eap)
